EASY OIL FREE HUMMUS

Easy Oil Free Hummus

This simple & delicious hummus is packed with protein! Serve with your favorite veggies, on a sandwich or with vegan flatbread. Jazz it up with roasted red peppers, sun dried tomatoes or extra garlic. 

INGREDIENTS

  • 15oz. can chickpeas

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

  • 1/4 cup tahini

  • 1 large clove garlic

  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin

  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

  • 1/2 cup water

  • Smoked paprika (optional on top)

METHOD

  1. Rinse chickpeas and boil in water for about 5-10 minutes. Drain and allow to cool slightly. Boiling is optional but recommended for a creamier hummus.

  2. Add all ingredients to a food processor or high speed blender. Blend on low for 2-3 minutes or until creamy, adding more water if needed.

  3. Sprinkle smoked paprika on top (optional but delicious) and ENJOY!!!

Makes 8-10 servings
